The Art Club
The Algarve Art Club has been established to promote “Art” and local Artists in southern Portugal. The Club resides within The Art Bar in Olhao where members can enjoy the benefits of their own “space” within the extensive facilities the school has to offer.
The Club is dedicated to “The Arts” and is forming reciprocal “Links” with similar Clubs around the World. The Club holds regular exhibitions of local and visiting Artists’ work in the Art Bar in the main street in Olhao opposite the markets. Members enjoy discounted prices on the food and drink and the facilities and also have the ability to use the accommodation that the Club has.
The Algarve Art Club is a private members club that is restricted to Artists who;
Have held their own Exhibition ……………………………………..…..FULL MEMBERSHIP
Have not held their own exhibitions ……………………………………ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Visiting Artists ……………………………………………………………….TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP
Visiting Artists from reciprocal Clubs ……………………………….…RECIPROCAL MEMBERSHIP
The Annual costs of Membership is;
Full …120 Euros per annum (free for artists participating in a course in the school)
Associate …100 Euros per annum(free for artists participating in a course in the school)
Temporary …10 Euros per week (restricted to 13 weeks in any one year)
Reciprocal …No Charge.
The benefits of Membership are;
- Use of the Art Gallery, we do not charge any commission on sales
- Discounted drinks in the art bar
- Weekly accommodation €200 or twin €280 or monthly €750 for single or €1000 for twin
- Use of the Art School
- Access to Clubs that have reciprocal arrangements with The Algarve Art Club
