Vierira Serina

Vieira Serina was born in Olhão, in 1977. From a very young age she became facinated with the world of the arts and more specifically of Traditional Portuguese Tiles. This specialisation started with her academic training in the Faculty of Science at the University of Lisbon. There she attended the Tile Painting Course at the Lisbon Artisans Association, under the guidance of Grand Master Margarida Portela Branco.

She has been perfecting her technique through constant challenges to herself and by attending a number of workshops particularly with Andreas Stocklein. In 2008 she left her work in the field of Science and dedicated herself to this form of art. She is equally passionate about traditional and modern tile work.

Vieira Serina has been creating tile works and pieces since 2003 for both the private and public sectors. She exhibits her work in numerous cultural events all over the country. Some of her works are in the blog http://artedoazulejo.blogspot.com
